The Community Radio station is located on the ground floor of the Mann Deshi head office in Mhaswad. There is programming every day in the morning, afternoon, and evening. The 90.4 FM channel is broadcast to 100 villages within 500km of the station. It averages about 50,000 loyal listeners.
A Community Radio App was conceptualised and released by the local community. About 1,500 people no use their mobile phones to listen to the programming and these numbers are expected to increase with more exposure.
Apart from entertainment – especially curated and performed by local talent, the channel also broadcasts useful information for farmers on crop cultivation, prices, and tips for how to increase their profit. The Community Radio programme is also hosts competitions for the local youth in activities such as folk-dancing, painting, or building a model fort and the winning student receives a prize. The most listened to programmes are Financial Literacy, Women and Health, and Agricultural Updates. Success stories of Mann Deshi supported women entrepreneurs are also regularly shared through the radio station.
